What is a Birthday Bomb?
A Birthday Bomb is a bundle of 5 digital gift cards for local businesses that will be delivered by email to individuals on their birthdays. Each gift cards contains either a free gift or a gift certificate that new potential customers may use towards local businesses in the community to celebrate their birthday.
What are local businesses offering?
Business are offering promotions such as “One Free Entrance to the Zoo”, “One Free Cup of Ice Cream”, “$10 towards show tickets”, “One Free hour of play”, and many more.
How will your business benefit from Birthday Bomb?
We know nobody likes to celebrate their birthday alone. So, by providing “1 entrance pass” (for example), would encourage the Birthday Bomb recipient’s friends or family to pay at the door to join the birthday celebration providing the opportunity for new paying customers to share the experience.
Is a Birthday Bomb like a coupon book?
No. Birthday Bomb focuses on celebrating personalized birthdays. Everyone has different hobbies and interests. That means users are able to customize which gift card will be in the bundle of 5 they send their friends and family members since they know them best. Our Birthday Bomb Recipients only receive the gifts that pertain to them whereas coupon books are full of “save 10%” pages. We provide them with actual gifts they can pick up at the business or gift cards they can use towards a purchase.
If I try it, am I locked in?
You can remove your business at anytime. We just ask that business’ accept the Gift Cards that have already been purchased which expire in 365 days. If your business decides to opt out at any moment, we will remove the availability of your gift card that same day. Also, if you decide to update or adjust your gift, we can do that too!
Do the gift cards expire?
Yes, each gift card will be valid for 1-year. We have done this to make it less complicated for the customers as well as businesses that are seasonal.
What would stop someone from using my gift twice or making copies?
We have worked with web developers to dramatically decrease the chances of this happening. Each gift card has it’s own unique barcode and number as well as a clear expiration date displayed on the gift. That code is only valid one time. When a gift card is purchased, individual businesses will receive an automatic email with the name, code, and expiration date so you know what to expect. Businesses have the right to deny use of a gift card if the code had been duplicated.
